So this time there will be a HALLOWEEN party organized by the ESN Leeuwarden party commitment!!!!! This means for all participants you have to dress up like vampires, witches, zombies and so on.

The Halloween party will take place in Cafe Hemmingway on the 26th (Wednesday) of October 2011.

Doors open at 23:00 pm
Doors closed at 03:00 am

Second ESN Leeuwarden Poker Tournament in Fire Palace

After a successful first pokertounament, monday the 7th of November the time has come for the Second ESN Leeuwarden Poker Tournament! You are free to invite your friends! Please invite the others of ESN Leeuwarden because we don’t have everyone on Facebook!!

The first 30 poker players who show up can play the tournament! Entry fee is € 3,-! You get the first drink from ESN =D

3rd Esn Poker Tournament in Fire Palace

Hello everybody!

After 2 very succesfull editions of the ESN Poker Tournament in Fire Place, we will have the 3rd and last one of this semester!

First winner was Micha, second winner was Tomek… who’s going to be the 3rd and last winner??

Again we ask 3 euro’s entrance fee…. and again we have 30 places!! So first 30 who sign up can play, and ofcourse if you come and there is an empty seat, you can join as well.. but first 2 tournaments we didn’t have any seats empty!

First prize: 15 coins
Second prize: 10 coins
Third prize: 5 coins

Best female prize: 5 coins (No Kristi.. it’s not racist )

And ofcourse it’s the first Monday of the month, so everyone who plays get a free drink from us! And all the ESN students who comes to watch before 0:00 will also get a free drink from us!

ESN Leeuwarden: Ameland Trip

Some of you have been waiting for this trip. Some of you already went to Ameland and some of you will go for the 3rd time.
Ameland is one of the five Wadden Islands of the Netherlands and belongs to Friesland. The whole Island falls under one municipality, which carries the same name. The municipality of Ameland counts about 3503 inhabitants and they are called Amelanders. There are four villages on Ameland; Hollum, Ballum, Nes and Buren.

Program:
Depart:Friday 20th of May
Arrive back in Leeuwarden:Sunday 22nd of May
Costs: €65,- incl;
- Ferry (go and back)
- Accommodation
- Food (2x dinner, 1x lunch and 2x breakfast)
- A bike for the whole weekend
- Bonfire with beer/wine/soda/snacks
- Activities like a party, beach games and more………
Extra costs:
- €5,- for the bus to the ferry (€2,50,-/one way)
- €10,- bond (you’ll get it back afterwards, but only if you behave )
- Money for drinks as we hit the ‘clubs’

Last month we organized an pokertournament. And this was a big succes! Time was flying a little too fast… so this time we will start half an hour earlier !

Our winner last time was Micha and he said that it was so easy, that he doubt to join again because he would easily win again…

Wanna proof the opposite? Than join the Erasmus Poker Tournement Leeuwarden on Monday the 2nd of May in Fire Palace. Be there at 21:30!!

The entrance fee will be 3 euro’s!

The prices are:
The winner gets: 14 coins of Fire (28 beers!!)
The 2nd place gets: 7 coins of Fire (14 beers!!)
The 3rd place gets: 5 coins of Fire (10 beers!!)
The 4th place gets: 2 coins of Fire (4 beers!!)

The best female / girl gets: 5 coins of Fire (10 beers!!)

ESN Leeuwarden is organizing Paintball Battle @ De Grote Wielen. Which means hours of fun in 1 acre field with 2 base camps, barriers and tons of places where you can hide. This all in good camouflage, approved protective mask and automatic weapons.

Still no idea? It doesn’t matter. It’s St. Saint Patrick’s day tomorrow and that means party like the Irish do. Why? because there’s an Irish among us and she can show us how to party like the Irish do, and because we can!

Activities: Face paintings and lots of Irish drinking games!

Bicycle Booze Binge

The notorious Bicycle Booze Binge. (This is something you really shouldn’t miss!)

When: The Bicycle Booze Binge takes place on Friday, 11th of March. We will meet at “de waag” at 19:00!

What: We will split up in groups and visit several real Dutch student houses, by bike of course. In every house there will be a booze related activity and of course plenty of beer, wine, liquor and soda will be around. There will be a BBB Afterparty in the city centre.

Why: You will meet real Dutch students in their natural environments. Also, you can experience the Dutch tradition of riding your bike while being drunk!
